The staff first and foremost. Location, cleanliness and ambience. My go to hotel when visiting Birmingham and it never disappoints. Beds are super comfy.

Clean and comfortable bed, functional bathroom, a solid breakfast. This is all that I required for a conference in the building a short walk from the hotel. Chosen for location, between the conference and city Centre, it was excellent.

Delighted with our stay. We travelled with our daughter from Glasgow for a dance audition. The hotel was a 5min walk from the location which was ideal. The breakfast options offered a great selection. Lovely decorative features throughout the hotel and a high standard of cleanliness. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

What we didn’t like: We approached the host from the road. No signage, so it took us a while to walk around the hotel. There seemed to be a problem with the heating as there was auxiliary heaters fitted around the hotel, even in our bedroom, with no explanation when we booked in.

Gorgeous decor inside and a great location. Could maybe have provided a bit of detail about the panels controlled by the key card, specifically locking the door. Didn't notice a difference in temperature when we turned it up or down, but it wasn't an issue as we weren't in the room for long periods. Also could do with clearer info regarding the parking arrangement at Selfridges car park, the hotel validates the parking and we thought it gave a discounted rate but that didn't seem to be the case. Would definitely choose this hotel again if we came back to Birmingham.

The hotel is great located everything is near by (restaurants, food shops, clothings chops, Birmingham shopping center, etc…). The staff are very helpful and nice. The room is nice, specious and very clean at least mine was. The bedding was an amazing (it’s was the first time that I sleep so well in a hotel bedding). I had a lovely stay at the Clayton hotel and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful aesthetic of the whole place. The room had every amenity, the shower worked perfectly, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great night's sleep, and a smiling face at both check-in and check-out made all the difference. A bonus that it was so close to the heart of the city, so a short walk to both work and social events.
